The Howard Early Learning Center received a poster from NASA for all of the students to sign and return to NASA so that it can be sent into space on a NASA shuttle.

Amity Youth Service Club members, along with their parents, participated in the March for Babies Sunday, April 27th. Members of AYSC and their classmates raised approximately $1300.00 for the March of Dimes in 2008.

May 1, 2008 will mark the first annual "Academic Signing Day" for Deer Park High School Seniors. 

Monday, April 28 the dedicated volunteers of the Deer Park City School District were honored at the annual Volunteer Reception. 

The K.I.D.S. annual Walk-a-thon date has been rescheduled for Friday, May 16, 2008.  Originally scheduled in April, the K.I.D.S. Committee has changed the date to better accomodate the district's state testing schedule.
