Prom Update

As most of you know, we released student and parent surveys a few weeks ago in order to determine continued interest in holding our Junior/Senior Prom later this summer.

Based on the results of those surveys, we are at a point that in order to hold our Prom, we would have to significantly raise our prices to cover the cost of a venue, decorations, food, and a DJ.  Previous feedback from some of our students has let us know that if prices were raised, the interest would decrease as well.  We want to not only make sure that we are being safe, but also that we are in a situation that is cost-effective for our students and their families.  Based on this, we, unfortunately, are going to cancel our Prom for this school year.

We will be sending out communication through Schoology to our 2019-2020 Junior Class to vote for an official Prom King and Queen.  Students in the Class of 2021 should check their Schoology account and email for this form!  While we know this will not be the traditional Prom Court, we also would love to have this part of our tradition continue!

Senior Portraits

With the Coronavirus outbreak, we know that one end of the year process that was missed was a Senior Portrait day.  We finally have information from our school photographers (LifeTouch and Prestige) to set a date and times for these.  These pictures are for the Senior Composites that hang in the hallway, and we want to make sure that all students in the Class of 2020 have the opportunity to be in this composite photo.

Senior Portraits will be available on Tuesday, June 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.  We will send more information for sign-ups slots in the next couple of weeks!

Senior Spotlight Signs

We want to thank Wickshire Senior Living for their support of our Class of 2020 this past sprig through their "Seniors Helping Seniors" initiative! As part of that, Wickshire helped to create Senior Spotlight signs that they displayed in front of their assisted living community.  They have now sent those to us, and we have displayed them in the front of our school building.  SENIORS: PLEASE COME AND TAKE YOUR SIGN! We would love to have you proudly display it in your yard along side our Deer Park Class of 2020 Graduates signs!
