October 2: Annual soccer fundraiser
Continuing our series of releases on the annual report card, today we would like to help you better understand the Progress component of the report card.
Last week, the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) released their annual report card grading all school districts across the State of Ohio. The Ohio School Report Card measures six different components. To help you gain a better understanding of each component, we are going to send out a series of releases to summarize each component and the measures they include.
The district wants to ensure our community’s voice is heard regarding Ohio’s implementation of ESSA. The Ohio Department of Education will be hosting several ESSA stakeholder meetings – with one in Cincinnati scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 PM, Thursday, Sept. 29.

Today, the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) released the 2015-16 school report cards. The report card being issued mainly reflects students’ performances on last year’s end of course exams for grades 3 - 12. In the past three years, students have taken three different state tests. The Cleveland Plain Dealer examines ODE’s new ratings and grading techniques.
As you may know, the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) will be releasing the 2015/2016 State Report Card on Thursday, September 15. Over the next two weeks, we will be sending out a series of emails explaining each component of the report card to help you better understand what each component means.

September 8: Even though it’s early release, we’re still having Curriculum Night!
Due to the extreme heat and humidity predicted over the next two days, Deer Park Schools will be on an early release. The safety and security of our students and staff members will always be our number one priority. Each building will dismiss at noon this Wednesday and Thursday.
On Friday, August 26, the Deer Park Community City School District dedicated the Harry Yeaggy Family Stadium and an all-weather turf field, which was privately funded. Since 2014, Deer Park Schools has undergone a myriad of facilities and branding improvements.

August 30: Join the soccer teams in raising awareness to fight heart disease and stroke
We teamed up with the NFL Foundation, Cincinnati Bengals, Mercy Health, and Private Donors
Come help our boys and girls soccer teams raise awareness and funds to fight heart disease and stroke. On Tuesday, August 30, the soccer teams invite you to attend the the second annual American Heart Association Spaghetti Dinner and “Red Out.”
