Deer Park Wrestler Voted CHL Wrestler of the Year
Jesse Potts is a three time CHL Champion
At Saturday’s Cincinnati Hills League (CHL) Championship, Deer Park Jr./Sr. High School senior Jesse Potts was named CHL Wrestler of the Year by league coaches. Last year, Austin Siemon won the same award.
"Jesse Potts won the 120lb weight class at the CHL Wrestling Tournament on Saturday. Jesse is now a 3x CHL Champion, and he was voted the CHL Wrestler of the Year by the league coaches," said Ken Lambers, Deer Park Wrestling Coach.
Potts was not the only Wildcat to take home good news. Senior Jeremy Heglin finished second place in the 195 pound weight class and he has 99 wins going into the playoffs. The Wildcats are scheduled to go to Blanchester this Friday and Saturday for the sectional meet.
