Donna Farrell
President
Donna (Rohdenburg) Farrell was appointed the President of the Deer Park Board of Education after having taken the oath of office on January 7, 2008. She serves as Chairperson of the Finance & Audit/Insurance Committee and as Co-chair of the Public Relations Committee. Mrs. Farrell is Deer Park born and raised having attended Deer Park Schools from kindergarden through the twelfth grade, graduating from Deer Park High School in 1980. She is the daughter of a lifelong Deer Park resident and retired Deer Park teacher. Her 5th grade son is the third generation of her family to attend the district. Her husband Dave and step-son Zack are also Deer Park graduates. Even before joining the board of education, Mrs. Farrell's involvement with both the district and community have been extensive. Within Deer Park Schools she is a member of the PTO, Athletic Boosters, and Band Boosters. She has frequently volunteered her time and talents including serving on "Schools that Work" steering committee. She volunteers as a Girl Scout Group facilitator at Amity School and a volunteer Junior Achievement instructor at Amity School. In the community Mrs. Farrell's involvements include being a 2001 graduate of the Deer Park Citizens Police Academy, a two term President of the Deer Park Republican Club, and she was recently appointed by the Deer Park City School Council as Trustee of the Board of the Deer Park/Silverton Joint Fire District, representing the Deer Park business community. Mrs. Farrell is an active member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Norwood where she serves as an elder and Sunday School teacher.
Professionally Mrs. Farrell is the current Vice President and Manager at Deer Park Branch of Peoples Community Bank. Mrs. Farrell has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Cincinnati and was certified to teach grades K-8 in the state of Ohio. She is also a graduate of Ohio Savings and Loan Academy.
