| School Board Makes Mark on the Park! |
|
|
After a 2 year study of the Deer Park City School facilities, the members of the Board of Education reached an agreement to place a bond issue on the November 2010 ballot.
This BOND issue represents a momentous historic occasion for all in Deer Park, as this will be the first time in over half a century that the students of Deer Park Schools could experience learning in a NEW facility!
The BOND capacity for our district will not exceed 30 million dollars. The passing of this BOND would allow for a brand new Pre K - 5 building on either the Amity site or the Holmes site, and renovations to the existing Deer Park Jr Sr High School for Junior High students in grades 6-8 and High School students in grades 9-12.
As always, we will continue to share more information through various means of communication during these very exciting times for Deer Park!
