High School Hosts Naturalization Ceremony

On April 22, 2016 at 10:00 am, Deer Park High School will be hosting its first naturalization ceremony.  It is a great honor for our school to be able to witness 69 people becoming American citizens from 34 different countries.  Just this year two Deer Park seniors, recently went through the process of becoming American citizens.  We are very proud of their accomplishment and wanted to share this experience with the community. Most of us have ancestors who came to America and became citizens, whether they took the Oath of Citizenship, or obtained their citizenship through other methods it marks a significant event in our family histories.  This Friday, 69 individuals who, like our ancestors, chose the United States as their new home.  They have decided to take the important steps to becoming a United States Citizen.

United States Representative, Brad Wenstrup will be in attendance to present a congratulatory message to all new United States Citizens. Mr. Wenstrup's support is appreciated.

Their dedication and commitment should serve as an inspiration to all of us.
