New Teacher, New Holiday Concert

New Teacher, New Holiday Concert

Winter Choir Concert Preview by Chloe Bayer. The Deer Park women's choir practices for their holiday concert during the school day.

This year, the Deer Park choir program has a new teacher, meaning they will have a new Holiday Concert.

Ms. Kramer is the new DP choir director, instructing students grades 7-12. She was a source of insight on the upcoming concert.

“There are a the traditional pieces that I have been told about that are 'Hallelujah' and 'Fruitcake.' Men's choir is going to be doing Johnny Schmoker again, because it's hilarious. They will also be doing two other pieces on their own. For a group of five of them, this will be really confident building for them...the Show choir is doing a piece they did a couple of years ago called 'Baby it's Cold Outside,' along with the other ones that are traditional," Kramer said. "Women's [choir] is doing with the traditional 'Rhapsody' and 'Angels Define.'"

Kramer said the holiday concert will be held in Crawford Auditorium December 12.

"Especially for the seniors that are outgoing, I think it's a good way to send them out," Kramer said.
