TODAY: It's Time for the State Championship Parade!

TODAY: It's Time for the State Championship Parade!

On Saturday, the Deer Park boys basketball team completed a historic run to finish the season 29-0, the only undefeated basketball team in the state of Ohio and OHSAA Division III State Champions. It was the first basketball championship in Deer Park history!

Today, we'll be celebrating this tremendous accomplishment with a parade and pep rally to congratulate our Wildcats on the greatest basketball season ever in Deer Park! Despite some chance for rain in the area, the parade is still on as scheduled.

Following the parade and pep rally, players will be available to sign autographs for our younger fans, so be sure to bring your markers!

Lineup of Events:

  • 6:30 p.m. - Parade leaves back parking lot of the Howard Building on Plainfield Rd.
  • 6:30-6:45 p.m. - Parade travels from Howard toward Deer Park Jr./Sr. High School
    • We ask that the community line Plainfield Rd. from Matson Ave. to Jr./Sr. High School.
    • We then ask that the community follow the parade processional into the gymnasium
  • 7 p.m. - Community-wide pep rally begins in the Deer Park Gymnasium
  • 8 p.m. - Autograph session with athletes and coaches
