Amity Project: Design Team Update 12/12

On Wednesday, December 12, 2016, the Design Team met to discuss the Amity Project. The Design Team will meet monthly and make sure the design of the renovation and addition is in line with what the community asked for this fall. This team is made up of members of the Executive Design Team (EDT), members of the Board of Education (BOE), select teachers and staff members, parents, and community members.

The team reviewed some layout options for the addition and all classrooms. They also learned that Duke Energy is coming to Amity to evaluate the current electrical system and create a plan to update the HVAC system. The group looks forward to learning the results in January at one of two meetings: January 10 and January 30.
