Deer Park Volleyball Wins Big this Season

The 2016 Deer Park volleyball season is one for the record books. This year, the Deer Park High School varsity volleyball team recorded more regular season wins than they have had in over 10 years. Coached by first year head coach Lauren Olson with veteran coach Kelsey Folkert assisting, the two have reignited the program. This year, 24 girls came out for the season compared to only 18 girls last year.

“This is one of the hardest working groups of girls I have ever coached, and I am so happy to see that the girls' efforts in the preseason, and season itself, paid off so tremendously in their win/loss record this season,” Coach Olson said. “I can't wait to see what next season, and our future seasons, bring.”

The varsity post-season team poses for a photo before leaving for their post-season match Saturday morning. The Wildcats lost a hard fought game to Clermont Northeastern.
