May 17: Informational Meeting for Parents/Students on IT Master's Program

May 12, 2017

Deer Park Community City Schools is partnering with the University of Cincinnati to offer a unique college opportunity to high school students, with the chance to allow students to earn a master’s degree in Information Technology (IT) just four years after high school graduation.

The program will offer first-year college courses in the IT track to Deer Park students, beginning as soon as their freshman year in high school. The program will allow students to finish all of their college freshman IT course during high school, accelerating their college track in order to complete a master’s degree—along with co-op experience—in four years after graduating high school.

All students who complete the high school track with a grade of a C- or above will automatically earn acceptance into the Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology program at UC.

Upon graduation from high school, students enrolled in the program will have the opportunity to complete up to five semesters of co-op experience, earning up to $45k in college tuition in order to help offset tuition costs.

An informational meeting will be held next Wednesday, May 17 at 5:30 p.m. in the Crawford Auditorium at the Junior/Senior High School for students in grades 7-11 and their parents. Please click on THIS LINK to RSVP.
