What is the purpose for the event?
It’s a 5k being run by Deer Park students. Several students went to the Anthony Munoz Leadership Conference and were challenged to give back to their community. The student body was deeply effected by the passing of fellow student Jordan Woods, so they thought it would be suitable that they create an annual event in memory of him. The proceeds are going to support the Jordan Woods Scholarship Fund, which was created by his family in his memory.
