Big Joe Duskin Foundation Orchestra Presents: “Swingin” with Count Basie
May 7 at Deer Park High School Auditorium
On Thursday, May 7 at 7 PM, please join the Deer Park High School Band for an evening of professional jazz! "Swingin' with Count Basie" is the premiere performance of the Big Joe Duskin Foundation Orchestra and it’s taking place at the Deer Park Jr./Sr. High School!
Deer Park's jazz ensemble will perform the first few songs, then the Big Joe Duskin Foundation Orchestra will perform an evening of all Count Basie favorites, including “All Of Me,” “Fly Me To The Moon,” “Blues In Hoss' Flat,” “Shiny Stockings,” and many more.
With 21 musicians all together, you can't help but have a great time! All proceeds benefit the Deer Park High School music program.
Advance tickets are available at the Deer Park Jr./Sr. High School office or call 513-891-0010. You can also pick up tickets the evening of the concert. Tickets range from$10-15 and donations are welcome.
The Big Joe Duskin Foundation Orchestra is available to perform high school fundraisers like this and community events throughout Greater Cincinnati and includes:
Philip Paul, drums - King Studio drummer and toured with Woody Evans Trio for 25 years
Art Gore, drums - Toured with George Benson for five years and CCM professor
Marc Fields, trombone - Toured with Ray Charles for five years and CCM professor
Scott Belck, trumpet - Director of Jazz Studies at CCM and toured with Manhattan Transfer and the Woody Herman Orchestra
Scott Pazera, bass - Jazz Band Director at Wabash College
Brian Batchelor-Glader, piano - Xavier professor
