From the Desk of Mr. Drouhard
It's hard to believe, but we have roughly two and a half weeks left in the third quarter! With grade cards approaching, take time to check your child’s grades and work to get missing work turned in. Our teachers are here to help support students during these final weeks to make it a strong finish!
Weekly Photo Gallery
With so few snow days this week, there was no weekly photo gallery. However, you can click the link below to access photos from all around Amity Elementary throughout the whole school year!

Here is the link to sign up for the Amity Spring Conferences 2021.
Our conference times have been condensed to create more time slots. This will lead to shorter conference times. If more time is needed our teachers are happy to set up another time to share your student’s progress.
Due to COVID19, we will be meeting virtually or by phone once again. There will be no school on Thursday, March 11th because of conference night.

Kindergarten and 1st Grade PM Dismissal
Please refrain from attempting to turn left into the east parking lot during pickup of Kindergarten and First Grade car riders. It creates an unsafe situation for our students walking on Linden Ave. We also have received complaints from our neighbors about the intersection of Linden and Beech being blocked as traffic backs up, along with driveways being blocked on Beech Ave. Thank you for your help in making this change.
Champions Is Open During Spring Break
Spring break doesn’t have to mean a break from the family routines you’ve worked hard to reclaim. This year, we’re making the most of out-of-school time by helping elementary schoolers (up to 12 years old) reconnect with friends and make up for lost learning time. Join us for spring break held March 29th-April 2nd at Amity Elementary, located in the cafeteria! Cost is $40 a day and there will be a one-time enrollment fee of $50 or $75 for multi-family! Are you a teacher, military or a multi-family? Ask us about our discounts! We do accept subsidy! Want more information please call us today and speak with our site director Amber Meece!
In Case You Missed It
Parking On Galbraith Road During Dismissal
We need your help by not parking on Galbraith Road in front Amity. We are running into problems with Deer Park buses and daycare buses not being able to get to their pick-up spots because cars are parked and waiting for students. I understand there is a lot of traffic around the building at the end of the day, but please help us by using our carpool lines or parking on the streets surrounding Amity and walking up to get your child. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Writing Circles Opportunity
Please see the flyer below for an opportunity for students in grades 4-6 to get involved in a writing group put on by Women Writing for a change.
Please remember to call our attendance line (513-891-2414) or email Betty Jung (firstname.lastname@example.org), our attendance secretary, if your student is going to be out.
This is especially important with the number of people that are either required to quarantine by the health department, or quarantining on their own accord. We need to be aware of these situations outside of school so that we can appropriately mark the attendance and provide guidance from the district if necessary. Thanks for all your help!
Amity Cat News
The Amity Cat News is up and running. Our student led morning announcement is scheduled to post every morning at 7:45 so your student can stay connected with what is going on whether they are at school or at home. The link to the youtube channel is below
