These requirements include:
- Promoting specific goals for school wellness
- Standards for nutrition guidelines for all foods and beverages sold to students
- Standard and nutrition guidelines for all foods and beverages provided, but not sold to students
- Policy for food and beverages marketing
- Description of public involvement, public updates, policy leadership and evaluation plan
