|7/18/13||In accordance to the Ohio Department of Education (ODE), Physical Education Evaluation 2013-2014
Beginning in the 2012-2013 school year, a physical education evaluation will be included as an indicator on the Local Report Card. Senate Bill 210 (SB 210), which was signed into law in June 2010, includes four components that will make up a report card indicator. To read more check out this link.
|7/18/13||In accordance to the Ohio Department of Education (ODE), recent legislation strengthened the Third Grade Reading Guarantee to give greater emphasis to reading instruction and intervention in the early grades. Through this initiative, school districts and community schools will diagnose reading deficiencies in students at grades kindergarten through three, create individualized reading improvement and monitoring plans and provide intensive reading interventions. Ohio is changing the way it measures and rates the performance of schools and districts. The 2012-2013 school and district report cards will grade schools and districts on a mix of new and previously used items with an A-F letter-grade system.
