Deer Park High School's Art Department Hosts "Empty Bowls" Fundraiser to Support Children Globally
Deer Park High School's Art Department is excited to announce its upcoming event, "Empty Bowls," inviting the community to participate in a unique evening of art, community, and philanthropy.
What: "Empty Bowls" is an event where attendees have the opportunity to select their favorite handmade bowls crafted by the talented students of DPHS Art. Each bowl is a unique piece of art. Guests will then indulge in delicious soup provided by OneDeerPark, served in their chosen bowl. The best part? Attendees get to take their chosen bowl home as a keepsake. Notably, all bowls are dishwasher and microwave-safe.
Cost: Admission to the event is priced at $5 for small bowls and $10 for larger ones, available while supplies last.
Where: The event will take place in the DPHS Cafeteria.
When: Guests are invited to join us on Wednesday, March 20th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This event operates on a come-and-go basis, allowing flexibility for attendees to drop by at their convenience.
Where does the money go?: 100% of the proceeds generated from the event will directly support the Bridges program. This initiative aims to assist children in India, Guatemala, and Uganda. To learn more about the Bridges program, visit https://www.bridges-program.org/.
Special Presentation: A special presentation highlighting the Bridges Program will commence at 7:00 p.m., offering attendees the opportunity to delve deeper into the program's mission and impact. The speaker will share compelling stories and insights about Bridges, inviting engagement and support from the community.
