Deer Park Schools Honored for Innovative Partnership with Hamilton County Business Advisory Council
Deer Park Schools is proud to announce their recognition for a transformative partnership with the Hamilton County Business Advisory Council (BAC). This collaboration aims to foster dialogue between business leaders and schools, build trust, and devise strategies that enhance the educational experience for students.
This year marks a significant milestone as Deer Park Schools received a prestigious 3-star rating for the first time. The partnership has yielded numerous opportunities for Deer Park students, including paid co-ops and job shadowing experiences across diverse fields such as Advanced Manufacturing, construction, healthcare, law enforcement, information technology, and education.
A standout initiative from this collaboration involved Deer Park students eligible for College Credit Plus (CCP) and interested in healthcare. These students (pictured above) completed a 40-hour internship, a CCP Medical Terminology course, and received a stipend upon successful completion of both, funded through a grant. This unique program provided students with one-on-one experiences with clinical professionals across various healthcare sectors, equipping them with essential on-the-job skills.
“These innovative opportunities are pivotal in helping our students explore potential career paths before graduation,” said Mindy Robertson, Director of Teaching and Learning Grades 7-12. “They allow students to make informed decisions about their future and ensure they are well-prepared for the workforce or further education.”
