Deer Park Schools Honors Fallen Firefighters on National Memorial Service Day
Deer Park Families:
On Sunday, May 5, 2024, the Deer Park Schools community joins the nation in solemn remembrance as we honor the courageous firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.
The National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service, established by the United States Congress and led by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, stands as a poignant tribute to the bravery and dedication of America's fallen fire heroes. Since 1992, the Foundation has tirelessly worked to honor these individuals and provide support to their families and colleagues.
In accordance with Public Law 107-51, the American flag will be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, May 5, 2024, as a mark of respect and gratitude for these courageous individuals.
